Kalaburagi: Renowned Communist leader from Kalaburugi, Maruti Manpade succumbed to Covid 19 on Tuesday, October 20. Manpade, who was known for various labour and farmers movements in the state, was 65 years old.
He had tested positive for Covid-19 on October 5 and was rushed to a local hospital in Kalaburagi where he breathed his last today.
Senior leaders including Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa condoled his death.
Manpade’s final rites will be held in his native village, Lengeti, in the Kamalapura taluk.
