Kalburgi: Amid rumor of enforcing lockdown again in the state, Minister for Medical Education Dr. K Sudhakar has clarified that there is no question of lockdown in the state. His statement comes as social media was busily spreading the rumors that Prime Minister Modi expected to call for another lockdown as the COVID 19 cases are spreading fast in all the major cities including Bengaluru.
Speaking to the reporters here on Sunday, June 14, Minister Sudhakar said that there is no further lockdown in the state. “There is no chaos in any quarantine center and all precautionary measures have been taken as per the guidelines of the government,” he informed.
Meanwhile, Sudhakar justified the move of the state government of sending the people to their home prior to the test report of throat swabs is received. “If there are no symptoms of the disease in a person, then there is no possibility of spreading the disease. World Health Organisation (WHO) also clarified the same,” he said and added that institutional quarantine will be made only for those who come from Maharashtra and abroad.
Prior to this, Minister Sudhakar also visited religious center Datta Mandir in Ganagapur.
