New Delhi: The crisis in the Aam Aami Party has escalated to a point of no-return, less than two hours into the meeting, Kejriwal, chief minister of Delhi, left. He reportedly made an emotional speech.

Kejriwal has made it clear that he can’t work with Yadav and Bhushan anymore. The bitter internal feud in India’s newest party has been playing out in the media with both sides accusing each other of lies and forgery.

Around 200 votes were against Yadav and Bhusan while only 23 members backed the duo.

AAP says 10 days of negotiations have failed to bridge the gap that emerged after the party’s disastrous national election debut last year and that has widened in the days since the party scored a massive victory in the Delhi election.

“It was scripted. It was a murder of democracy, the brought Gooda’s during the meeting,” said Yogendra Yadav.

Earlier, Yadav sat on protest outside the meeting venue with eight supporters, alleging that “legitimate members” were not being allowed inside.

The split was imminent on Friday after a series of press conferences. First Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan held an explosive press conference where they called Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a dictator surrounded by yes men. Then an hour later the Kejriwal camp hit back saying AAP had agreed to all of Bhushan and Yadav’s demands but the two rebels backed out at the last minute.
