Mumbai: The state of Maharashtra is observing a lot of political turmoil over the past few days and now, as per sources, Ajit Pawar has resigned from the post of Deputy Chief Minister ahead of the crucial floor test scheduled to be held on Wednesday, November 27, in accordance with the orders of the Supreme Court.
According to the verdict of the three-judge bench headed by Justice Ramana, pronounced today, the floor test must be held by tomorrow evening.
The court had accepted a joint petition filed by the Congress, Shiv Sena and NCP, challenging Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s decidion on Saturday, November 23, to ask the BJP to form the government, as well as administering the oath to Devandra Fadnavis as the Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar as the DCM.
