BJP to form govt in Maharashtra with or without Shiv Sena?

two mainNew Delhi: With confusion persisting between the BJP and the Shiv Sena about the possible coalition, the BJP is now all set to stake claim to form the government in a couple of days and if all goes well, then Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the second term on November 9.
BJP legislative party meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday and all the 105 newly-elected MLAs will attend the meeting, which will be presided over by Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar and BJP vice president Avinash Rai Khanna.
It may be recalled that on Tuesday, while some of the BJP leaders said that the party will form the government with or without the Shiv Sena, Fadnavis later said that Sena will be a part of his government. He, meanwhile also made it clear that he will be the CM for the full five-year term. He had also refuted the 50:50 seat-sharing agreement, earlier claimed by Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray.
In order to form the government, the BJP will take the help of smaller parties and independent candidates, said sources. Recently, Kishor Jorgewar, independent MLA from Chandrapur constituency, and Surajya Shakti party leader and Shahuwadi (Kolhapur) MLA Vinay Kore, met Fadnavis and extended their support to the BJP.
Rift between the BJP and Shiv Sena cropped up over the 50:50 seat-sharing formula in Maharashtra. Further, Shiv Sena also pressed for the CM’s post to be given to Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aaditya.
