New Delhi: At least one person was killed and five others were injured on Tuesday in a blast outside a firecracker godown here, police said.
The explosion occurred in Naya Bazar in north Delhi at around 10.40 a.m., said a police officer. The victim has not been identified yet.
Initial reports suggest it could have been a cylinder blast, but explosive material used in firecrackers was found at the scene.
Window panes of the surrounding buildings were damaged due to the impact of the blast. Anti-terror wing and special cell police have reached the spot.
