Doors of Modi’s tent in the beautiful Rann open for guests!

Delhi: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi lived in a luxury bulletproof tent during his visit to Gujarat’s Kutch region couple of days ago, the very same tent will now be offered to tourists coming to the annual desert festival-Rann Utsav.
As per a reports, the tent in which PM stayed during his three-day visit to the desert village of Dhordo for the state police chiefs’ meet last week, has a huge bedroom with a wooden carved bed, a drawing room with sofas, a television set and multimedia players.

It also has a dining hall, a conference room, a lounge, a bathroom with modern fittings, and a wardrobe section.

Now, the Trouism Corporation of Gujarat Limited is planning to showcase the tent as an added attraction at the site and as per sources, Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel is likely to be the first guest to stay in the tent.

She is due to inaugurates the Rann Utsav on Thursday which will be opened to the public only in January.

It is said that the tent was put up at a cost of Rs 31 lac and accordingly the charges of staying at the tent may be at least Rs 10,000 per person for a night, excluding meals.

The desert festival is said to be PM Modi’s brainchild when he was the CM of Gujarat and marketed by actor Amitabh Bachchan.

The festival was first launched in 2005 and is said to attract as many as 2.5 lakh tourists every year.
