New Delhi: The Election Commission of India on Wednesday rebuffed the congress party’s demand that the broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, which is scheduled to be aired on 20 September, be banned till the completion of Bihar Polls.
They made the demand citing the Model Code of Conduct, which is presently in place for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The first ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme was aired in October last year during which Modi had talked about shedding despondency and use of skills for the country’s betterment and prosperity.
The EC said that it will monitor PM talk show to decide whether it influences voters or not.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to share his thoughts with the nation during the 12th edition of his ‘ Mann Ki Baat’ program, which will be broadcast on All India Radio on September 20.
