New Delhi: The Member of Parliament of the Congress and the Janata Dal (S) parties V S Ugrappa and L R Shivarame Gowda respectively, took their oath in the Lok Sabha, here on Wednesday, December 12.
The speciality was that both the MPs took their oath in their state language Kannada.
Earlier in the Lok Sabha by polls that were held in the month of November in Ballari and Mandya constituencies, Congress candidate V S Ugrappa had won from the Ballari Constituency against the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate J Shantha with a margin of 39,480 votes and L R Shivarame Gowda who had contested from the Mandya Constituency emerged victor against BJP candidate Dr. Siddaramaiah with a margin of 3,24,943 votes.
