Mangaluru: A regular Air India flight from Mangaluru to Mumbai was cancelled following a technical issue on Thursday, October 25. The flight was scheduled to depart at 12.45 pm from the airport.
Reportedly, the aeroplane had taxied till the runway and was about to take off when the flight was aborted by the pilot after smoke was spotted in the plane’s engine.
According to sources, the flight can take off only after the issue is resolved. For this, engineers have to be brought in from another location.
The director of the airport, V V Rao said that alternate arrangements were made for the passengers of the aborted flight.
