Questions to come up in RS on Tuesday

New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha on Tuesday will focus on environment and climate change issues as two key reports are set to be placed before it by the government, besides papers by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Finance and Power.

Ministers to lay papers on the Table: Raj Kumar Singh for Ministry of Power; and Anurag Singh Thakur for Ministry of Finance; and Rattan Lal Kataria for Ministry of Jal Shakti.

Ravi Prakash Verma is to present the 325th Report (in English and Hindi) of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science and Technology, Environment, Forests and Climate Change on “An Expanded Role for the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) in Cancer Treatment in India through an Enlarged Network of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC)”.

Ashwini Kumar Choubey to lay on the Table, a Statement (in English and Hindi) correcting the answer to Unstarred Question 753 given in the Rajya Sabha on the 24th July, 2018 regarding Recruitment in CGHS Dispensaries.

The Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial (Amendment) Bill, 2019 will be taken up for consideration in passing.

Further consideration of the following motion moved by Prahalad Singh Patel on the 7th August, 2019:

“That the Bill further to amend the Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial Act, 1951, as passed by Lok Sabha, be taken into consideration.”

Prahlad Singh Patel to move that the Bill be passed.

Harsh Vardhan to move The Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill, 2019 that the Bill to constitute National Surrogacy Board, State Surrogacy Boards and appointment of appropriate authorities for regulation of the practice and process of surrogacy and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto, as passed by Lok Sabha, be taken into consideration.

Also to move that the Bill be passed. Bills for withdrawal of The Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Bill, 1987.

Harsh Vardhan to move for leave to withdraw a Bill further to amend the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Also to withdraw the Bill. The National Commission for Human Resources for Health Bill, 2011.

Harsh Vardhan to move for leave to withdraw a Bill to consolidate the law in certain disciplines of health sector and promote human resources in health sector and provide for mechanism for the determination, maintenance, coordination and regulation of standards of health education throughout the country to ensure adequate availability of human resources in all States and for the said purpose to establish the National Commission for Human Resources for Health and to supervise and regulate professional Councils in various disciplines of health sector and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Harsh Vardhan to move Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Bill, 2013 for leave to withdraw the Bill further to amend the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Also to withdraw the Bill.
