New Delhi: Haters may make a joke out of Congress Scion Rahul Gandhi, but this time RaGa is surely going to win hearts through his one humane act.

Asha Devi, Mother of Nirbhaya had one person to thank after her son completed his pilot course and that one person was none other than Rahul Gandhi himself.

“He is a pilot today because of Rahul Gandhi,” Asha Devi told media adding that it was not just the sponsorship from Rahul that made a difference, it was the regular calls from the Congress Scion to her son that kept him motivated to achieve what he did.

Nirbhaya, a 23-year-old para-medic was brutally gangraped and killed by six men on a moving bus in Delhi on December 16, 2012. A fortnight later, on December 29, 2012, she succumbed in a Singapore hospital.

The brother, who was 19 years old and a Class 12 student when his sister succumbed to grievous injuries inflicted by her rapists in 2012, completed his training from the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA), in Rai Bareli, Uttar Pradesh, reported Sunday Guardian.

Nirbhaya’s mother also said that Rahul Gandhi was the one who counselled her son and motivated him to achieve something good in life to support the family.” Rahul used to talk to him over the phone and it is he who taught my son to adopt a ‘never quit’ attitude.” she said adding that Rahul’s sister Priyanka too used to call them up over the phone to inquire about their health.

Nirbhaya’s brother is now undergoing final training with a commercial airline in Gurugram. He will soon fly a plane.
