Moradabad: Twelve years after a man was killed, his son killed the murderer and chopped the body into 12 pieces, stating that 12 pieces signified 12 years of life that he lived without his father.
Alam Khan was only 12 when he saw his father being murdered by Mohommed Rais, a family friend in 2003.
Exactly 12 years after the murder, on Tuesday, December 21 at Moradabad in UP, Khan invited the murderer for a drink and settled the scores.
When Rais was drunk, Khan stabbed him before using a hacksaw and hammer to dismember the body with loud music in the background.
He then packed the body in a bag with the help of his accomplice and threw it into the river. When the bags washed up on the river`s banks, police were only able to identify Rais from a surgery scar on his torso.
When witnesses revealed that Rais was last seen with Khan, the cops nabbed Khan who made a full confession.
The murder weapons, including the hammer and hacksaw, had been recovered from Khan`s home in the district of Moradabad, police said.
