Three people were injured in a stabbing incident at Peramangalam, Thrissur, following an argument that began over honking during traffic. The victims have been identified as Bineesh (46), his son Abhinav (19) and their friend Abhijith (29), all residents of Mundur.

Honking leads to confrontation

According to police, the trio were returning home on two motorbikes after playing badminton when the accused, Krishna Kishore of Kechery, became agitated after Abhinav honked twice from behind. Kishore, who was riding a Bullet motorcycle, overtook them and signalled for them to stop.

An argument broke out on the roadside, during which Kishore allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed all three.

Accused fled; search extended to Tamil Nadu

Despite being injured, the victims attempted to stop the accused. However, Kishore managed to flee in a friend’s car. Police say he has already crossed into Tamil Nadu, and the search has been extended across the border.

Police have taken into custody the friend who assisted in his escape. Investigators are also examining Kishore’s criminal background and gathering details about his movements. Kishore had been residing in a rented house in Kechery, with family ties to Chavakkad and Kottayam.

The injured are receiving treatment, and their condition is being monitored.
