Women cops to receive cash reward for arresting Hindu outfit leader Sasikala

Marakkuttam(Kerala): The Kerala police department has awarded cash rewards to its women police officers who arrested the Hindu Aikya Vedi State President K P Sasikala when she was in Marakkuttam recently. According to ANI reports, the officers have also been conferred with the Good Service Entry award.

Previously, Sasikala who was on her way to Sabarimala on November 17 was arrested by the police. She had tried to resist the arrest by stating that she was a devotee who was going to visit the temple as she was above 50 years of age. However, she was arrested as the police women had suspected that the reason of her visit would be organise protests.

The Hindu outfit leader has responded to the news of the cash reward by stating that she appreciated the gesture of the cops deployed at Sabarimala who remained on duty for long hours and even without the availability of the most basic of the facilities.
