Nagpur: The Bombay High Court, in its very important verdict has mentioned that anyone who calls an individual a ‘Napunsak’ (Eunuch) will be defaming that person.

A husband had filed a case against his wife based on defaming him using the word ‘Napunsak’. As a counter-argument, even the wife had filed a petition, but the High Court has dismissed wife’s petition.

The Bombay High Court has said that such an insulting word would subject to defamation under IPC Section 499 and 500 and is punishable.

This case was heard by Justice Sunil Shukre, of the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court.
