JD(S) leader Venkatesh hacked to death in Chikkaballapur

Venkatesh, a JD(S) leader from Thammanayakanahalli in Chikkaballapur taluk, was brutally murdered near the village entrance late on Friday night. The assailants allegedly used lethal weapons in what is believed to be a fallout of an old rivalry.

Venkatesh, who was involved in real estate and finance, may have also been targeted due to disputes related to his professional dealings.

Chikkaballapur Superintendent of Police Kushal Chouksey, along with other officials, visited the crime scene at Thammanayakanahalli Gate. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to uncover the motives and apprehend those responsible.
