Dubai: Hemmeya UAE Kannadigaru has always been the voice for Kannada and Kannadigas in UAE. Their heart also follows and responds to the issues and development related to Kannada and Karnataka. They have conducted Dasara Sports Meet, Kannada Rajyotsava, Multi religious Ifthar program, Sankranthi, Christmas, Republic day Talent show bringing together all Kannadigas to celebrate Kannada culture and heritage. They also honour the National and International Sportsperson, Poets, Philanthropists , Cine & Music Artists, Indian Defense Staff who have brought name and fame to Karnataka.
HUK are celebrating the World famous Mysuru Dasara through annual Dubai Dasara Sports & Cultural Festival 2021 with Cricket, Antakshari, Kannada Rasa Prashne, Rangoli & Gombe Spardhe, Chess, Carom, Ludo, Badminton, Football, Volleyball Athletics Sports events.
The Dasara Cricket cup was held on 15th October with 22 Teams participating delighting the crowd with their fantastic display of sportsmanship & skills. The Dasara Cultural Festival with Antakshari and Kannada Rasa prashne was a runaway success with Kannadigas across the globe joining the exciting program and appreciating it.
The final leg of the sporting event will be held at on October 29 with the Kannadigas awaiting to show their skills in Badminton, Football, Volleyball and Athletics.
The Annual Sports honour ‘Kreeda Rathna’ Award of Hemmeya UAE Kannadigaru with the past recipients like Ashwini Nachappa, Malathi Krishna Murthy Holla, for 2021 is being bestowed on Kannadiga Dr. Honnappa Gowda, Former Captain Indian Kabaddi Team, Arjuna Awardee.
The stage is set and the entire UAE Kannadiga Community is looking forward for October 29 at Kent College, Dubai for the final leg of sporting event at 12 noon and Kreeda Ratna Award ceremony, Medal Presentation, Student Excellence Awards, and celebration of Kannada Rajyotsava at 6.30pm.
