Dubai: Overwhelming response at Blood Donation Camp 2022 organized by Fortune Group of Hotels – A Praveen Shetty Enterprise as a part of its community service drive.
The program started with paying tributes to H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan who passed away on Friday, May 13, at the age of 73.
Alok Narula, Group General Manager in his opening address highlighted the contributions of the late leader of the nation through his direct outreach through official missions and other occasions. A one minute silence was observed in the respect and memory of Late H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. While it is under sorrowful circumstances, the team congratulated H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his election as President of the UAE.
In its unwavering commitment to serve the community, Fortune Group of Hotels – A Praveen Shetty Enterprise, annually organizes a Blood Donation Camp, this year being the tenth successive year was organized on the joyful occasion of the 56th Wedding Anniversary of Sarojini Shetty & Narayan Shetty, the proud parents of Chairman – Praveen Kumar Shetty.
Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Kumar Shetty, Chairman thanked the dignitaries attending and said “Donation of Blood means a few minutes to us but a lifetime for somebody else. It gives us immense contentment to be able to contribute to our community by way of donating blood to the needy. I would like to thank all the team members, blood donors from the Fortune Family, KNRI, friends and family for their life-saving gifts of blood.” He also thanked the team of Blood Donation Center, DHA – Dubai.
Jitender Singh Negi, Consul (Consular & MADAD) was the guest of honour on behalf of the Consul General of India who in his address congratulated the proud parents oft. Praveen Shetty on their 57th wedding anniversary. He also praised the efforts of Fortune Group of Hotels.
Dr Ranjitha, Head of Medical Unit – Blood Donation Center – Dubai also graced the occasion and spoke about the importance of blood donation and applauded the initiative of Fortune Group of Hotels.
Shetty presented the memento to guests of honours and Balakrishna M. Salian, Vasantha Shetty who has from the first year always supported the cause wholeheartedly.
The 2022 camp witnessed the highest participation from hotel employees who volunteered to donate blood for this noble cause. Some key members from KNRI Forum, Yakshaghana Abhyasa Tharagati – Dubai came forward to donate blood.
