Riyadh: In a colorful atmosphere of festivities, the Indian Social Forum Riyadh central committee, Saudi Arabia organized a grand celebration of 75 years of Independence of India, in Riyadh as part and parcel of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”
Inaugurating the celebration Abdul Ahad Siddiqui (President, Indian National Forum Riyadh) highlighted the unparalleled contribution of the unsung heroes and the sacrifices they made, to achieve the freedom of our country. Delivering the presidential address Abdul Latheef (Secretary of Indian Social Forum, central committee) explained the meaning of independence and the significance of upholding the spirit of freedom.
While delivering the keynote address of the program, Sajjad Bangalore (Exec. member, Indian Social Forum, Central Committee Riyadh) detailed the historic struggle and unmatched sacrifice of our freedom fighters for attaining freedom for our great nation, before the gathering. He emphasized the necessity to safeguard the hard-earned freedom of the country for improving the lives and living conditions of the common man.
A large group of eminent personalities and reputed professionals in Riyadh hailing from different Indian states, including Dr. Nayeem Shareef – Associate consultant, King Saud Medical City Riyadh, Abrar Husain – President Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association Riyadh, Jawahar Savarimuttu – Ex. President , Riyadh Tamil Sangham, Gafoor Koyilandi – President , Malabar Development forum, Basheer Ingapuzha – President India fraternity forum Riyadh attended the program which made the program a grand success.
Mohinuddin (Secretary, Indian Social Forum Central Committee, Riyadh) welcomed the guests and the gathering and Ajmal Khan – Executive member Indian social forum Riyadh central committee) proposed vote of the thanks whereas Majeed Madanthyar – (Executive member, Indian Social Forum, Central committee, Riyadh) coordinated the entire program as the MC.
The celebration began with the unity song and concluded by playing the National Anthem.
