My father an inspiration behind my social work: Shodhan

Dubai: The 22nd episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s talk show ‘Sunday Celebrity’ was held on Sunday May 29 at 8.00 pm IST.

The guest for the evening was Shodhan Prasad, Producer, and Social Worker, Dubai. Floyd Kiran was the host for the event.

The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

In the beginning of the show Floyd Kiran introduced the guest and welcomed him.

Shodhan Prasad recollecting his school days shared the experience of being a member of notorious students of the class. “I had started earning back in school holidays. The first salary I received was Rs. 30 and the first highly paid salary for me for working in an air-conditioned room was Rs. 4000 back in 90’s,” he shared.

Speaking about his inspiration for social work he said, “My father is the inspiration behind it. When we were kids, our father would send us siblings to visit the dead and would recommend us to come back home only after the burial proceedings are done. With this he inculcated the confidence within us.” He also shared the incidents which brought contentment during his social service.

In the ‘Celebrity Favourites’ segment he shared, “Tulunadu is my favourite place. Every time I go home I do not come back without having a visit to Attavar,” he recalled.

Sharing the best moment of his life, he stated it to be getting married. My grandfather breathed his last in front of my eyes, that was the saddest moment,” he expressed.

“I believe in fate. I don’t regret anything in life. We move in a way in which the God guides us. Even if the mistake happens then it is an experience of life and so I have no regrets,” opined Shodhan Prasad.

He also shared the legal aspects of movie release and distribution at U.A. E.

The award in life which we receive will be people’s opinion on us post our death. Life is short and so make it sweet, he advised.
