Students affirm that they are proud students of Patkar sir

Dubai: The 20th episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s Namaste Teacher was held on Saturday April 30 at 6.30 pm IST.

The guest teacher for the evening was Dr. Ramachandra Patkar. The special guests of the evening were his students, Jayanth Kumar, HDFC Branch Sales Officer, Gangavathi, Manikantan, Assistant Engineer , Rural Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Subdivision, Sullia, Anston D’Souza, Animation student in MAAC institution, Bengaluru, Suneesh Babu, Beat Forest Officer, Hiriyadka, Udupi, and Preethi P. K., Homemaker, Navi Mumbai.

The event host was Kiran Nirkan.

Through teacher-student interaction, the series strives to highlight teachers and their impact on students. On youtube.com/newskarnataka, the episode is showcased.

Kiran Nirkan introduced the guests and welcomed them.
Ramachandra Patkar initially warmed up to the audience by sharing his career experiences.

Student Manikantan sharing his memories with Patkar sir said, “Patkar sir is always a role model to us. In case of our poor performance in the event he would encourage us with strict satirical tone where as in our success he motivated us to do better.”

Jayanth Kumar reminisced the aid given by the lecturer at times of students’ bad health. He recollected his moments with Patkar sir fondly, and called himself as the proud student of Ramachandra Patkar.

Anston D’Souza recalled the three years spent with Patkar sir and said to have had the best memories.

Preethi P. K. said, “With Patkar Sir’s entry into college we students were introduced to several games. Sir always expected students to be on time on the ground and would be deeply immersed when into coaching.

Expressing ‘the role of teachers in the evolution of generation’ students recalled their life experiences as an anecdote in expressing the role of teachers.

Both teacher and students appreciated the ‘Namaste Teacher’ initiative. Teacher Ramachandra Patkar expressed good wishes and success for the progranme.
