Dubai: The 15th episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s talk show ‘Sunday Celebrity’ was held on Sunday April 10 at 8.00 pm IST.
The guest for the evening was Sadhan Das Shiruru, social worker. Floyd Kiran was the host for the event.
The programme was live-streamed on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
In the beginning of the show Floyd Kiran Introduced the guest and welcomed him.
Recalling his childhood, Sadhan Das reminisced how his father was an Influential figure in the society by being a teacher. And also it was educationally least qualified society, he noted.
He recalled the turn of events that united thousand plus people from Shiruru residing In UAE and the success behind It. Speaking on their initiative in acting as bridge between UAE and ‘Namma Kundapura Kannada’ people, he appreciated the like-minded thoughts which worked together as an ignition towards social work.
Establishing ‘Shiruru Association’ and installing the idol of M. K. Gandhi in consulate with English cum Kannada language engraved in it is the greatest achievement of our team, he said expressing his joy.
In the ‘Celebrity Favourites’ session he expressed that listening to religious preachings is one of his hobbies.
Recalling the 50th Wedding Anniversary of his parents, Sadhan Das said, “Not all get this opportunity and it was the most happiest and proudest moment of my life.”
Losing his beloved mother was the saddest phase, he recalled and added that how he misses his mother’s presence even today.
When sad or angry, I turn silent or meditate, he said.
As an advice to the viewers, he asked every individual to work towards life of patience, coexistence and unity.
