Mumbai: Veteran actor from Bollywood’s’ first family, Rishi Kapoor’s mansion in Peshawar will be transformed into a museum by the Pakistani government as per the suggestions and directions of the star himself.
The Finance Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi has confirmed this stating that he had received a call from Rishi Kapoor requesting him to convert the mansion at Qissa Khwani Bazar located in Peshawar, into a museum or an institution to which the government nodded.
The Interior Minister of the Pakistani government Shehryar Khan Afridi has also asserted the same.
The mansion named ‘Kapoor Haveli’ was built by the father of legendary actor Prithviraj Kapoor, Basheswarnath Kapoor. Prithiviraj’s son Raj Kapoor was also born here.
The family had left the mansion during Indo-Pak partition.
