Senior Citizens Christmas Party brings smiles to Senior Citizens

Marol. Mumbai: the Post-Pandemic Senior Citizens Christmas Party 2022, has brought smiles to the face of Seniors at St. Vincent Pallotti Parish, Marol. Mumbai. At this joyous time of the year, a unique program to entertain and make the Seniors happy who were stuck inside the comfort of their homes due to the pandemic were given a chance to encounter some fun and frolic at the Senior Citizens Christmas party held on Dec. 29, 2022 organised by the Altar Servers of St. Vincent Pallotti Church, Marol, Andheri (East), Mumbai.

Friendliness is not a message it has to be adopted in our everyday life. Some feasts remind us of the value that unites humanity, and the Christmas Festival is one among them.

Senior Citizens Christmas Party brings smiles to Senior CitizensRev. Fr Roque Gonsalves, Parish Priest graced the occasion with the Holy Eucharist at 10.00 am invoking God’s blessings. In his Homily, he said, “Age is just a number, what matters most is your attitude”. The highlights of the Christmas party was that  165 Seniors Citizens of the Parish did join this event.

President of the Senior Citizens Jerome Martis welcome the gatherings Star attraction of the day was the Altar Servers who meticulously and professionally compared the event, followed by entertainments and games, where the audience witnessed and could not believe the old-times could shake their bodies and swing their hips-which proved that “AGE IS JUST A NUMBER”.

Fr Roque Gonsalves the Parish Priest of St. Vincent Pallotti Church said, “I am so proud of our Senior citizens, they are young and energetic”, he also emphasised the Elderly Citizens are a blessing to the Parish and to their own families, their toil, labour and sacrifice for their children is the reason why their families are successful.

In conclusion, the President raised the vote of thanks resounding his feelings who gave of their time expressing gratitude to our Parish Priest Fr Roque for his continuing support and also to the Altar Servers and the participants for making the event a grand success, followed by the grace before meals by the Parish Priest.
