Bagalakote: The Banajiga Samaja members of the town staged a massive protest against Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal and Former Hunagund MLA Vijayananda Kashappa, alleging that they were making derogatory remarks against the Banajiga Samaja and destroying the health of the society by creating divisions in the Banajiga community on Wednesday November 16.
Chandru Gondi, an elder of Tonapinatha Samaja, Basavaraj Raya, Former President of the Municipality, said that the voters of Hunagund and Assembly constituencies in Vijayapura District should be taught a lesson by voting against them in the upcoming elections against and the two who have hurt the self-respect of the Banajiga Samaja.
Leaders Mahalingappa C. Kullolli, Gireesh Muthura, Chanabasu Hurakkadli said that Banajiga Samaja is a society which has a good relationship with all communities under Basavanna’s kayaka philosophy and is living as an example.
