Bagalakote: As the protest demanding Mahalingapura Taluk completes 200 days on Sunday October 30, Taluk Struggle Committee General Secretary Channabasu Hurakkadli participated in the double-century struggle along with hundreds of people including elders, women, youth and others from Basavanagara and extended unprecedented support.

As part of the 200th day of the struggle undertaken for Taluk, a massive protest march was taken out from Basavanagara, Basaveshwara Community Hall to Basava Circle, Dabala Road, Viveka Circle, Nadachowki, Textile Bazaar, and Gandhi Circle under the leadership of Municipal Council Member Savita Hurakkadli and Struggle Committee General Secretary Channabasu Hurakkadli.

Speaking on the occasion, Taluk Horata Vedike General Secretary Channabasu Hurakkadli said that Mahalingapura is a suitable Town in every way to become a Taluk. As the agitation has already completed 200 days, the MLAs from Teradal Constituency put pressure on the Government and demanded that it be declared a Taluk Headquarters at the earliest.
