Minister of Large and Medium Industries Murugesh Nirani said that huge investment is expected on the occasion.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said that this is the third time an investment conclave is being held in the State. For this, he has travelled to various countries of the world, held talks with the heads of companies and invited them to the State.
Many multinational companies will participate in the World Investment Conclave, he said and added that 50,000 acres of land is being acquired across the State to provide basic amenities to companies that will come forward to set up businesses in the State. In Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural Districts alone, 20,000 acres of land will be acquired and the remaining 30,000 acres will be identified in different districts of the State, he informed.
Nirani said, “The development of the country is possible through education and industry. For this, the State is being developed as an industry friendly State. Our State has received 40 per cent of the total investment received under FDI (Foreign Direct Investment). Therefore, the State is number one in the country,” he said.
