Bagalkot: It is now reported that henchmen were hired by the neighbours in the murder, undertaken at Madhurkhandi Village of Jamakhandi here, of four brothers in a property dispute.
The Mudaraddi and Putaani families were engaged in the property dispute for a long time and it is said that even the reconciliation attempts by the villagers had failed leading to a case in this regard at the Civil Court here. However, unfortunately the dispute had ended with killing of four from Mudaraddi family.
During the incident of assault, nine others were reportedly injured and are being treated at the local government hospital.
A case has been registered at Circle Inspector office at Jamakhandi and the investigation is on.
Further, this property dispute is two decades old as reportedly Mudaraddi family refused to budge on demand for relinquishment of a part of property. In 2014, a case has been registered in this regard too. Unrelenting families’ refusal to negotiate in the dispute, now has ended in four people of a family being murdered.
