Belagavi: Our leaders have asked us to bring the Karnataka – Maharashtra border issue in the manifesto for the next elections. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Backward Classes President Madhu Bangarappa said that the border issue will be included in the Congress manifesto.
Speaking at a press conference, he said, “There is no question of giving up on any land in Karnataka as long as, there are laws, courts and offices. We will fight in court,” he said.
The Karnataka-Maharashtra border dispute is now in court. My father Bangarappa was the first Kannada Mayor in Belagavi and he was so made by the Congress party, he recollected.
