Belagavi: Minister for Large and Medium Industries Murugesh Nirani visited the home of the deceased contractor Santosh Patil in Belagavi on Wednesday April 13. He offered his condolences to the family.
After the visit, Minister tweeted stating “Visited the family of the Santhosh Patil today. I paid my respects and assured them that the government will give them the necessary support to get through this tough time and Congress should not politicise them issue!

Further, speaking to mediapersons Nirani said that he had assured to assist the family in getting help from the government. He also assured that he will talk to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai about providing a government job to Santosh’s wife on compassionate grounds.
Patil, who was found dead in a hotel room in Udupi on Tuesday April 12 was a Belagavi-based contractor. He had allegedly took his life after blaming Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K. S. Eshwarappa for his death, who Santosh had alleged of asking 40 per cent commission as bribe.
