Belagavi: The prices of Karnataka Milk Federation’s (KMF) ‘Nandini’ brand of milk will be revised soon. MLA and Chairman of Karnataka Milk Feredarion Balachandra Jarkiholi on Sunday October 30 said that the prices will be raised by Rs. 3 per litre of milk for the benefit of farmers.
He was speaking after the foundation laying ceremony for the Hoolikatti Refrigeration Plant.
The KMF has received proposals for revising the milk prices from each of the 16 district milk unions. To secure farmers’ interests, milk prices must be increased in light of inflation, he said.
The decision on the price increase will be made at the next KMF general meeting, he added.
