Belagavi: Leader of the Legislative Council Kota Shrinivas Poojary has said that he will discuss with the Power Minister the issue of not increasing the tariff as per the proposal submitted by Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited (HESCOM) for a hike in power tariff.
If this proposal is approved, it will be a burden on the common man. Hence, a decision should not be taken to increase the power tariff, he said.
Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “I will discuss with the Power Minister what decision the Power Department will take on the proposal submitted by HESCOM. He also said that he would discuss and reply to the House on steps to ensure that the common man is not burdened.
