Belagavi: Six people were killed and more than 16 injured in a vehicle accident while pilgrims from Hulakunda Village in Ramadurga Taluk of the District were on their way to Savadatti Yellamma Temple, said Water Resource Minister Govind Karajol adding that Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has instructed to announce a compensation of Rs. 5 lakh to the family of the deceased.
More than 16 people were injured in the accident and arrangements have been made to treat the injured at the hospital, he said, and added that he has instructed the Deputy Commissioner and Health Department Officials in this regard.
