Belagavi: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Working President Satish Jarakiholi’s controversial remarks were condemned by BJP workers led by Minister Shashikala Jolle at Nippani Nagara.
The protesters took out a huge procession from Nippani City bus stand to the Tahsildar’s office and shouted slogans to Satish Jarakiholi and shouted slogans of ‘Jai Hinduism’.
Minister Shashikala Jolle said, “The wrong statement made by Satish Jarakiholi, the Working President of the Congress party, which is the largest party in the country, to the people is condemnable. They are giving a wrong message to the people and misleading the people. No one will tolerate such a statement,” she said.
She questioned how right it is for a true Hindu emperor to insult the word ‘Hindu’ in the country. He has spoken about the wors Hindu in Nippani which has angered the people of the region,” she said.
She added, “No one will tolerate Satish Jarakiholi’s derogatory remarks about Hinduism. We welcome the programme in Nippani. But we will not tolerate talking about Hinduism,” she said.
Further, the BJP workers demanded that the police should register a case against Satish Jarakiholi for his derogatory remarks about Hindus.
