Belagavi: A second-year Pre-University Course (PUC) student was physically assaulted by his classmates for raising a Karnataka flag during an inter-college festival in the District. The incident was caught on camera by those who were recording the dance event during which the assault happened.
According to sources, the incident happened at the Gogte College in the District.
Students can be seen enjoying the DJ night and dancing to the music in the first few seconds of the film. In the first 10 seconds of the video, a student holds the unfurled Karnataka flag high for everyone to see. He does this for another 10 seconds.
A few seconds later, his classmates assaulted the student who was waving the Karnataka flag for the same reason. Police summoned the students involved and held further inquiries.
