Dharawad: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday January 6 said that he is a Hindu but is opposed to Hindutva.

Speaking to mediapersons in Hubballi here, he said “I am a Hindu and hence not an anti-Hindu. I only oppose Hindutva and politics around Hindu faith as all faiths are equal according to the Constitution.”

Siddaramaiah further said that he had never opposed Ram Temple in Ayodhya but was against its use for political gain. In fact, I have constructed many Rama temples in the State, he asserted.
