Dharawad: KPSC Exam, 51 examination centres set up in twin cities

Dharawad: The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) will conduct competitive examinations for the posts of Assistant Engineer Grade – I and various Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ categories in the Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Department at 17 examination centres in Dharawad and 34 in Hubballi on Saturday February 25 and Sunday February 26.

A total of 13,082 candidates from the District will be participating in the exam, with 17 observers, 17 route officers and 51 local inspection officers appointed to ensure smooth conduct of the exam without any lapse.

Appropriate guidance was given to the appointed officers in the meeting. It was informed in the meeting that the Deputy Director of Public Instruction Department has been appointed as the Nodal Officer and the officers should submit their report. An examination control room has been opened for question papers and answer sheets and staff have been deployed in three shifts to do video footage at each stage.

An area of 200 metres around the examination centres will be declared as a designated area by the Municipal Commissioner. Steps will be taken to close down nearby and computer shops. The meeting was informed that suitable police personnel would be deployed inside and outside the examination centres. HESCOM was advised to take steps for uninterrupted power supply to the examination centres.

Sub-Divisional Officer Ashok Teli, HUDA Commissioner Santosh Biradar, DDPI N. N. Keladimath, DDPU Krishna Nayaka, District Education Officer S.S. Hudedamani, DIET Principal M. K. Sahukara all examination centre heads, examination observers and officials were present.
