Dharawad: Former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar said, “We are struggling to make Hubballi-Dharawad twin Cities as a model in the State. The Cities have undergone development in various departments, he said.
He was speaking after inaugurating development works with the cost of Rs. 8 Crore in different areas of Ward No. 46 of the Municipal Corporation in Hubballi on Friday October 14. Shettar said, “Channapete of the City will be developed under Nagara Vikasa Scheme. Roads will be developed in a phased manner, he added.
The 24 x 7 water supply project will be soon implemented in and around Channapete and Ambedkar Nagara. Under the Smart City Scheme, approval has been received for the second phase works including the development of storm-water drain, he said.
