Dharawad: Even though I was bitten by bees, I did not stop the work of distributing honey. However the Opposition parties were trying to find a negativity in everything, said Chief Minister Bommai.
Speaking to mediapersons in the City, he said the issue of internal reservation had been there for 30 years. However, the Congress gave up the issue at the last minute. We have a commitment. We have studied this, formed a cabinet sub-committee and done so as per law, e noted.
“The BJP has done what we can’t do,” they always say . None of that has any value. They have always been wooing the SC/ST communities,” he said.
“They thought they could gain sympathy through statements and win this election as well. We have taken several decisions in social and developmental matters in consultation with organisations. It is because of our commitment to take a decisive decision, he said and added that he will not rest till justice was done to that community.
He said that all of them had joined the beehive. “I knew i wouldn’t get honey if I didn’t put my hand on the beehive. I had said I was ready to give honey to that community if I was bitten by bee too, and now I’ve done it.”
