Dharwad: State education and labour and sakala minister Suresh Kumar felicitated a farmer from the Nelogal village on the on Monday, December 23, on the occasion of National Farmers’ Day.
The minister was on his way to a programme when he saw Channabasavanagouda Hombaradi working in his field. He stopped, met the farmer and felicitated him. A pic of the impromptu felicitation was posted to his social media accounts.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “I was on the way to Dharwad to attend an official work and when I was travelling I saw a farmer. I felicitated Nelogal farmer Channabasavanagouda Hombaradi on the ‘Farmers Day’ and left for my work.”

Meanwhile, he visited a government school in the Ramanakoppa village, where he spent some time with the students and taught a class. He later asked the students questions based on what he had taught them.
