Dharwad: Taking serious note of the political words spoken by writer Chandrashekhar Patil at the Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana which concluded in Mysuru on November 26, Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi alleged that Champa was behaving like an agent of the Congress party.

Speaking to media persons in Dharwad during a protest against Minister Vinay Kulkarni seeking his resignation for his alleged involvement in the murder case of a ZP member, Joshi on November 27 said going by Champa’s words who sought votes in favour of Congress in the coming elections, it seemed like he had become a ‘chamcha’ of Congress.

No matter what Champa and others say, but it is sure that the BJP would rule the state in the coming days, he said adding that it was unbecoming of Champa to speak like a politician. If at all he’s got interest, let him join the Congress, MP Pralhad Joshi added.
Politics should not have been discussed at a literary event, where the words of the land, language and culture should have been given prominence, he said.

Joshi condemned the act of the state government which was “trying to protect Minister Vinay Kulkarni who is accused to be involved in a murder case of ZP member Yogeshgouda Goudar. He said the party’s protest would continue till ministers K J George and Vinay Kularni tendered their resignations.

MLA Aravind Bellad, former MLA Seema Masuti and others were present.

Hundreds of BJP workers took part in the state-wide protest called by the party against Minister Kularni on Monday. A memorandum was submitted to the government later.
