Gadag: Chief Minister Basavarj Bommai on Tuesday November 8 slammed the Congress for its Bharat Jodo Yatra and claimed that its leaders were to blame for the division of the country.

“The party that divided the nation in two… sought to transform Punjab into Khalistan is now taking out Bharat Jodo Yatra,” he said in reference to the BJP’s Jana Sankalpa Yatra.

Congress claims that it created the nation. However, during its 60-year rule, it did not provide electricity and potable water to all the villages. To make sure that everyone has these needs, the nation waited for Narendra Modi to become Prime Minister.

He claimed that divide and rule was the Congress’s policy. He said that Siddaramaiah’s Congress-led government divided the State and ruled it. He recalled that a report about how Congress had mistreated the minorities and that its leaders had stolen Wakf properties had been presented to both houses of the legislature.

He alleged that Congress leaders have already begun dreaming of retaking power in Karnataka in 2023 and that they use their power to meet their selfish deeds.

MP Shivakumar Udasi, former CM B. S. Yediyurappa, and ministers Govind Karjol, C. C. Patil, B. C. Patil, and B. Sriramulu were present.
