The video has been making rounds on social media platforms, making chills run down spines of people from Gadag. Reeling under fear, the people had been living indoors. The news was that the tiger had escaped from the local zoo and has been out in open. However, much to their relief, it has now been found that the video is fake as the said tiger is in the zoo. The culprit, who made this video and caused panic is still unidentified.

Superintendent of Police K Santhosh Babu has clarified to the media that it was a visual of West Bengal, where the tiger was crossing the road and that it was not from Gadag.
