Haveri: As the Assembly elections in the State draw to a close, the BJP and the Congress are knocking on the doors of investigating agencies, including the Lokayukta, before going to the people. To supplement this, we are handing over 59 cases of corruption during the Congress era to the Lokayukta, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and has dropped the bomb demanding an inquiry into the matter.
Speaking at Hirekerur, the CM said, “We are handing over 59 cases of corruption that took place during the previous Congress Government to the Lokayukta for investigation. Let there be an investigation into this. The people of the State will know the face of corruption by removing your Congress’ colour mask,” he said.
There has been corruption in the Siddaramaiah Government in irrigation, electricity, BDA and everywhere. More than 59 cases were registered, he added.
The Congress also has lodged a complaint against BJP Leaders including Ramesh Jarakiholi, at the High Ground Police Station in Bengaluru for allegedly luring voters.
