Haveri: Former CM had recently commented that the rebel MLAs were bought by the BJP like cattle. The comment did not go down well with rebel MLA and Hirekeruru BJP candidate BC Patil, who shot an uncomfortable question at Siddaramaiah.
“How much did the Congress pay and buy you,” quizzed an irked Patil adding that Siddaramaiah is in a position to know how all this trade works because he has the first-hand experience of being sold and purchase.
Continuing his attack while addressing a rally in Haveri, Patil questioned Siddaramaiah how much money he gets from Delhi for playing such low-grade politics. “You cheated the JDS to join the Congress. Did you not backstab JDS Supremo HD Devegowda for your own political gains,” he said adding that if former minister KJ George is subjected to Narco Analysis, all of Siddaramaiah’s hidden secrets will be out.
Patil, a former police officer, who alleged Siddaramaiah of backstabbing him as well said that the rebels will slam a defamation case against Siddaramaiah and KPCC Chief Dinesh Gundurao. “I had invested a lot of trust in Siddaramaiah, but he let me down. In fact, anybody who keeps faith and trust in him is deceived in the worst possible manner,” he said predicting that the Congress party will be doomed and that Hirekeruru will be in BJP’s kitty.
