Haveri: Hirekerur BJP by-poll winning BJP candidate, B C Patil said that this election has proven to be anti-Congress and made the district ‘Congress-free’.
Speaking to the media after his victory on Monday, December 9, he said, “The lotus has bloomed in all the six Assembly constituencies of the district. By this, the Congress party has been swept away. This is a clear sign and warning that the in the coming days, the nation will be ‘Congress-free’. “
Thanking the electorates, Patil said, “The people have removed the ‘disqualified’ tag and made all those who were disqualified by the Congress-JD(S) state coalition government ‘qualified’. I assure you that I will strive towards transforming the district and implement all the necessary developmental projects.”
It can be recalled that earlier today, B C Patil won with a margin of 29055 votes against Congress candidate Bannikod Hanumantappa.
