Haveri: According to sources, Chidanand, a police inspector assigned to the Women’s Police Station here, has been suspended after video and audio clips of him misbehaving with a woman went viral.
On Saturday December 18, IGP Eastern Range Davanagere S. Ravi issued a suspension order, and Haveri SP Hanumantharaya has relieved Chidanand of his duties.
The inspector is seen misbehaving with the woman in these clips, including asking her to submit her nude videos and seeking sexual favours. The victim refused to accept the CPI’s offer and refused to follow his directions.
According to sources, the woman filed a POCSO case after her daughter went missing.
A probe has been initiated against Chidanand based on the WhatsApp videos and audio clips.
