Belagavi: A tensed moments were witnessed on Monday December 13 after Kannada activists hurled ink on Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) Leader Deepak Dalvi at Vaccine Depot Ground here in the City here. Now the MES called for a bandh on Tuesday December 14 opposing the incident.

The Karnataka Nava Nirmana Pade members tossed ink on MES Leader Deepak Dalvi at the venue where the latter was taking part in a convention, Maha Melava, a parallel session to oppose Winter Session by the Marathi linguistic community.

The activist has been identified as Sampath, and was detained by the police.

It may be recalled here that the MES has been holding Maha Melava at the Subhash Chandra Bose Ground, Tilakwadi in the city ever since the State Government began holding legislature sessions in 2006.
