Vijayapura: Condemning the order of District Administration to not permit the arrival of AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi in Bijapur city for holding party workers meeting, the district committee members submitted memorandum to Governor, Vajubhai Vala.

In a release, District President, Allabaksh Bijapur said that the party had planned the meeting on March 6 in Vijayapura city which is to be addressed by Owasi. In this regard, an official permission was also sought from the police and the administration.

But the permission has been cancelled citing that his arrival could create communal tension in the district.

He Accused that some of the influential political leaders who do not want AIMIM to grow in Vijayapura, have forced the authorities to reject the application.

Stating that the reasons given by the administration to reject the permission are frivolous and unsubstantiated, he said that being an Indian citizen and leader of a political party, Owaisi has full right to travel in any State.

But still, these political enemies who do not want the party to grow in Vijayapura are making every effort to prevent the entry of Owaisi in the city.

He said that Owaisi has already visited several districts of Karnataka in the past and never created controversy, despite this fact, the district administration has not allowed his entry here which is highly condemnable.

The members demanded the district administration to rethink over the decision and allow Owasi to visit.

Meanwhile, in the order issues by the district administration, they have mentioned several reasons for rejecting the application.

The order says that in the past, Owaisi has given several inflammatory speeches, he has been banned in several States and has been facing some criminal cases. Therefore, his arrival could create communal tension in the district. For maintaining peace and harmony, the decision has been taken to reject the application for permission, the order says.
